Helldorado 2011 is OVER! This year we celebrated our 82th anniversary. Tomorrows may be greater, but it can not equal the interest and the excitement of this year's celebration. With blue skies above us, green hills around us, old friends met and walked these dusty boardwalks of Tombstone. New friendships were formed and old ones renewed. All of the participant's finery was on display for the world to see. Helldorado wishes to thank everyone who attended this year's celebration, participants and visitors alike. Now is the time to make arrangements to be with us for our 83rd anniversary.
Friday started off with the National Anthem at 10:10am followed by continuous entertainment every ten minutes until about 4:45pm.
Saturday was a very action packed day, starting at 10:00am and ran to 4:45pm, with over 25 different entertainment groups from gunfighters, line dancers, cowboy stories, music and just plain good old fun.
Friday night, Helldorado hosted it's Tombstone Reunion, in the World Famous Rose Tree Museum, for all who live here and those who have been coming to Tombstone over the years.
Saturday night, Helldorado, Inc. once again hosted the annual Cowboy Social. Everyone ate, visited and had a good ole time.
On Sunday, the parade kicked off at 11:00am, with 92 entries. The now renowned Cowboy Walkdown, stepped off from 6th and Allen following the parade. We had over 100 folks join us for good old rowdy, noisy, time. It was a great opportunity for everyone to show their stuff for the 1,000's of cameras along the route.
We once again had our beard and mustache contest on Saturday afternoon, Some really great whiskers won.
Another 1851 Navy Colt 36 cal Black Power Revolver was raffled off at approximately 4:PM on Sunday.
