So a cousin from “the old country,” Dr. Clantonstein, offers to build him a gunfighter from spare body parts taken from Boothill. In the end, this monster eludes Wyatt and takes sanctuary in a mysterious castle on a hill overlooking Tombstone. This is where the story of the current production picks up.

“Dr. Clantonstein and the Boothill Bodyshop” Coming to Schieffelin HallThe Tombstone Repertory Company has been performing plays, mostly melodramas, at Schieffelin Hall for over 30 years. This Fall’s presentation will be “Frankenstein Slept Here” by Tim Kelly. It follows last year’s presentation of “Dr. Clantonstein and the Boothill Body Shop.”
In last Fall’s play, Ike Clanton is having ill-success getting gunslingers to go up against Wyatt Earp.
Baroness Frankenstein has had her castle transported, stone by stone, from Transylvania to Tombstone, to escape the prying eyes of, as she puts it, “ignorant villagers.” Her castle is also a refuge for other “creatures of the night,” such as a mummy, a werewolf, a vampire, a Jekyll and Hyde, a Medusa, and other familiar monsters. “Frankenstein Slept Here” arrives in Tombstone in October, just in time for Halloween.
The Play is directed by Kenn Barrett, and stars Lilla Deluca as Baroness Frankenstein; Michael Shaughnessy as Igor; Marie Minor as Mrs. Hoopla, Jesse Jacobs as Vampira; Naomi R. Groleau as Jacqueline Hyde; Miriam Groleau as the Skeleton Bride; Claudia Love Bluemel as Medusa, Andrew Groleau as the Mummy, Jim Kuriger as the Werewolf, Bruce Bluemel as the Monster, Thomas Groleau as Ted; Melissa Davis as Pauline, Peter Groleau and Samantha Welch as the Zombie Children, and ? as the Invisible Man.
Assisting with the production are Barb Kern as the prompter, Sandy Sanderson as set designer, and Kevin Gill as property master.
The play will be performed Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8th and 9th; Saturday, Oct. 15th; Saturday, Oct. 22nd; and Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29th and 30th. Saturday performances are at 7 PM. Sunday performances are at 3 PM.
All performances are at historic Schieffelin Hall, located at Fremont and 4th Streets, in Tombstone. This year Schieffelin Hall is celebrating its 130th anniversary as the cultural center of Tombstone.
